What a day!

Today, as is every day, was uber hectic! Woke up rushed to get ready for work, ate a doughnut on the way out the door, rushed to work, spoke a little creole, spoke a little spanish, 10 hours worth of spanish speaking patients getting more difficult throughout the day, forget lunch too many patients, my last three patients of the day on this, a Friday afternoon, are #1 a possible aneurysm in the middle cranial fossa with a acute onset esotropia in need of Magnetic resonance angiogram pronto, #2 declining vision secondary to severe thyroid eye disease with compressive optic neuropathy in need of CT scan of the brain and orbits and #3 Conjunctival intraepithelial neoplasia threatening central vision while on Interferon alpha1b treatment. Needless to say, complicated patients and a stressed out Dr. Paul......Nothing like worrying about your patients over the weekend to brighten your day. :) But, ya gotta love it!!! Oh, did I forget to mention that my article being published in the Review of Optometry was due today and I have a presentation to create this weekend for a Monday afternoon lecture and a ocular disease slide quiz to prepare for next thursday. This Hospital is amazing!!! Now, how bout that lunch...
