Well, I believe the economy has finally hit us "little" people. Patients that I'm seeing are obviously pinching pennies and trying to stretch appointments out longer while buying less expensive pairs of glasses. They are also questioning every decision I make for them by saying "how much is that test going to cost?" I understand their concern, however, most have medical insurances or medicare/medicaid that will pick up the bill for such things. Do they know that I'm only concerned about the health of their eye and not the thickness of their wallet? Why are they concerned about what their insurance pays? Who knows the answer? I believe that people are in a penny pinching mood in all facets of their lives at this point regardless of whether they have insurance coverage or not. Barrels of Oil are nearly trading for $100 per gallon, housing market isn't so hot for the past year, and everything as a result has increased in price. Short term lending rates have decreased .75 points in the last few month and the only thing to follow is INFLATION, which will further hurt the american people and their willingness to spend their hard earned money in small businesses like ours....which affects us "little" people. Ah well, what happens will happen regardless of what I do....maybe Hillary can turn things around??? ;)
Vote Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul for President!!!

I assume that the wink was intended after the Hillary comment? I like what you wrote. I have to agree that pennies are being pinched. I hope for a turnaround soon.
