I just had a patient that, when we were talking about cell phone plans, told me he paid $100/month for his cell phone. He has unlimited text messages, data plan, calling, etc....
I looked right at him and said, "Wow, I just can't afford that much" and then watched his reaction..... for which there was none!
I can't believe he "can't afford" healthcare, yet he can pay $1200/year to have a cell phone plan.
My personal family medical insurance (for 3 people) costs me approximately $1000/year with a large deductible, all yearly well-visits are 100% covered, immunizations 100% covered for Braydon, OB/GYN yearly visit 100% covered for Jessica, etc, etc......
ridiculous... Ugh...
